LIMITED edition prints by a world famous artist will feature as part of the gallery i Summer Art Show that takes place at the gallery's Inverurie premises from this weekend.
The gallery has is the only one in the North of Scotland appointed to represent the work of Thomas Kinkade, the American artist known as the "Painter of Light".

His work is renowned for the amazing quality of light that he captures in his paintin
gs, and is best known for his pictures of cosy cottages, enchanting landscapes and romantic settings, of which there will be some excellent examples on display at gallery i.

In addition to the work by Thomas Kinkade, the Summer Show will include new work by two award-winning artists, Sue Howells and Rebecca Lardner. Sue Howells is recognised as one of the UK's leading watercolour artists who is well known for her quirky images of people going about their everyday business and is often compared to the famous LS Lowry. H
er endearing images have earned her The Fine Art Trade Guild's award for "Best Selling Published Artist 2008", as voted by galleries across the UK.

Rebecca Lardner has won the Fine Art Trade Guild's award for "Best New Artist 2008" for her stylish and engaging depictions of the nation's coastlines. The award recognises Rebecca as the UK's most exciting new art talent and number of examples of her coastal images will be on display at gallery i.

In addition to the above artists gallery i will be hosting original artwork and limited edition pieces by local and national artists, including Inverurie's own Karen Meldrum, who has innovative new paintings of Bennachie, a collection of figurative work by Iain Faulkner, New York cityscapes by James Blinkhorn and a collection of large scale original floral and landscape paintings by new artists, Angie Thomas, Sabrina Roscino and Amanda Macandrews.

Commenting on the Summer Show, gallery i owner Mark Gask said: "We have some sensational new art on show this summer, including some very exciting new artists. It is quite something for an Inverurie gallery to be able to showcase work by award winning artists not only at international level but also at national and local level as well.

"Thomas Kinkade, Sue Howells, Rebecca Lardner and Karen Meldrum are all award-winning artists and we are very proud to show their work at gallery i."
