FAMILY owned local business, JG Ross Bakers, are to lend their support to fundraising for local boy, Ben Henry, at this year's Taste of Grampian event on Saturday, June 7 at Thainstone Centre near Inverurie.
By selling packs of Scottish and Belgian chocolate fudge at their stand, JG Ross hope the money raised will help Ben's parents purchase much needed equipment.
Family and friends of four-year-old Ben, who has cerebral palsy, have tirelessly carrie
d out an ongoing series of fundraising projects to raise money for the extensive list of equipment and therapies Ben will need in the future. Each week is a busy diary of appointments with consultants, physiotherapists and speech therapists to name but a few. In fact two days are never the same for Ben and his mum.
Fundraising for Ben really is an ongoing project, as he will always need equipment and therapies, which are not provided by the NHS.
With this in mind, JG Ross's Sales and Marketing Manager, Michelle Wainwright didn't hesitate to offer support when contacted by Ben's mum, Laura James.
Michelle commented: "You just can't help but smile when you see a photo of Ben, he's such a cheerful little boy. You also can't help admiring the dedication, energy and enthusiasm his family have put into their fundraising campaign.
"I've seen the list of equipment Ben needs to cope with his cerebral palsy so it was an easy decision for us to want to do a little fundraising effort of our own by selling fudge at our Taste of Grampian stand."
Although other items will be available on the JG Ross stand at the Taste of Grampian event, it will be money raised from the sale of four and 12 pack traditional and Belgian chocolate fudge that will be donated to Ben Henry. Both Ben's family and JG Ross staff hope the packs of fudge will be in great demand on the day.
